Oct 23, 2023 — I had the chance to witness The Corrs perform live. The last time they were in the Philippines was in 2001. I was 17 years old, relying on school allowance, listening to TOP 40 countdowns on the radio, and watching their music vids on MTV or Channel V.
Fast forward to 2023, 2 decades later, I am earning well and can buy tickets for artists I want to see live! The ticket price for the seat is almost 10,000 Pesos (170 USD). I know, I know, it's freaking expensive; this is the most expensive concert ticket I ever purchased. BUT...
But there are reasons why I shelled out this much money: I paid to see great talent. Their music and all their songs are relatable and easy to listen to, giving you that sense of Summer Sunshine and the right amount of pensiveness like Only When I Sleep and Runaway. Plus, there's an emotional value because I grew up with their music. No amount would ever put a price on experiencing them perform live. Who knows when they'll be back in the Philippines? In a decade? I'd be 49 by then.

Overall, it was a great experience. I had a lot of fun that night, and I am still over the moon (as of this writing).
